As a fashion blogger one of the most amazing things that could happen to you is…attending an event by VOGUE.
It has always been a dream of mine but I was always so intimidated by VOGUE I would never even dream of contacting them. So I was SURPRISED, to say the least, when I received an invite from VOGUE to celebrate Liz Goldwyn’s new book “The Sporting Guide: Los Angeles, 1897”. To have someone from VOGUE reach out to me is perhaps one of the most exciting things to have happened to me, aside from being approved to cover the Oscar’s of course.
The private and exclusive event was held at Equipment, on Melrose, and Liz, super sweet and very pretty, was there to sign her book and discuss her latest venture with some adoring fans. Liz was kind enough to sign her book for me and even spoke to me for a while. Of course I was super nervous because she’s accomplished so many wonderful things in her career, which includes being named New York editor of French VOGUE.
These events can be rather nerve racking because you’re surrounded by super successful people and I am always so nervous. Overall it was quite lovely and I haven’t been able to put down Liz’s new book, which includes rather unique photographs.
Have a great week ahead!
