It’s National Dog Day and if you know anything about me you know I am obsessed with dogs…and cats…and horses…and all the animals that ever existed.
There is one little animal though that has a very special place in my heart and that’s my little Belle. I have never met something so tiny and so smart.
I remember the first day I saw her and how cute I thought she was. Little Belle was only a few ounces and could fit in the palm of my hand. I fell in love with her and her little sister and we would have brought both of them home but the little sister didn’t seem to like us much and kept whimpering. So we decided we would only take Belle. On our way back home she peed on my lap. We brought her home and everyone was obsessed with her and it’s been the same way since.
The first night at the house I didn’t want her to sleep in my room because I just had my bedroom renovated and there were still fumes that I though might hurt her. So we put her in this adorable basket (a basket I used for my little dolls to sleep in about a few years back) and we all went to bed. About an hour after we all went to sleep I heard a whimpering. I went to the living room and saw her standing in the middle of the living room and whimpering, she looked so scared, poor babe. I decided since she couldn’t come to me then I would just have to go to her. I slept on the couch that a few nights so she would’t be alone. After a while we were able to go back to the room and she’s been sleeping in “our” bed…but mostly her’s…since.
I have so many cute memories of her and with her and I can’t wait to make many new ones with my little angel…
